Admission Guidelines For Session – 2024-25
Admissions for Session 2024 – 25 are open. Please read through the following to discover requisites and process.
Admission (Early Years I/ Early Years II / Early Years III)
Cambridge Early Years is our new programme for 3–6-year-olds. It gives young learners the best start in life, helping them to meet key early milestones and thrive in and outside of school. Cambridge Early Years is the first stage in our Cambridge Pathway, which gives students a clear path for educational success from age 3-19.
- It helps children develop the knowledge, understanding and skills they need for the next stage in their education – whether they move on to Cambridge Primary or another programme.
It is a child-centred, play-based programme that helps young learners to develop at their own pace. It encourages them to act independently, make their own choices and discover feelings of self-worth.
It includes everything you need for high-quality learning: a holistic, balanced curriculum, engaging classroom resources, professional development, and assessment approaches to help you measure your learners’ progress. We believe that Cambridge Early Years works best when you use all elements of the programme together.
It supports learners, whatever their level of English when they begin the programme. We also help you offer a bilingual or multilingual approach if learners have a home language other than English.
Cambridge Early Years Check Together
Cambridge Early Years Check Together is a digital assessment tool designed specifically to support our curriculum. We recommend you use it alongside your ongoing observational assessment in the classroom.

Grades Early Years I, Early Years II and Early Years III
There are Formative Assessments and Activities-Based Assessments.
Learning Outcomes of these Assessments are used as the criteria for promotion.
Admission
The curriculum is designed to ensure an all round development of each student. A comprehensive & technologically-designed methodology is introduced at all stages to develop the intellectual personality required to achieve academic success. The medium of instruction is English and special emphasis is laid on both written and spoken English.
At this level emphasis is on a ‘development based curriculum’ and students are taught the essential concepts of the subjects. The progress of each student is monitored closely and regular assessments are conducted, the results of which are communicated to the respective parents for a partnership between them and the school.
Emphasis is also laid on developing positive attitudes and healthy habits among students. Apart from preparing students for academics they are also taught the importance of dignity, honesty and high moral fibre.
Our Philosophy of Admissions – Grade I – Grade III
We at DPS TajCity aim to ensure that students not only excel at academics but also are imbued with social and ethical values, skills and attitudes to contribute positively to society. Therefore, the admission process is designed to test both aptitude and attitude. While the tests assess proficiency in English, Mathematics and Hindi, they also reveal the child’s problem solving skills. Portions integrated in the admission process also examine the applicant’s belief and value system on the basis of which he/she makes decisions and the way he/she handles and negotiates with the external world. Thus, our method of testing a student has been designed in such a way so that we can look at him/her holistically.
